As we've evolved the company, we've maximized certain resources which have given us a competitive advantage.
First among these has been our editorial processes, which allow us to provide unique, approachable, and expert content so professionally.
Next was the development of our patent-pending ZENPRESS system, which cuts out a vast percentage of our production cost when it comes to creating the online journals.
And, finally, we have modeled the largest and most successful organizations, acquiring technology assets that you'd normally find in vastly larger enterprises (like our enormously capable mailing list manager), and then utilizing that to provide a logistical advantage.

ZENPRESS: the ZATZ patent-pending magazine production system
Using ZENPRESS patent-pending technology, we produce publications like PalmPower and DominoPower at an incredibly low cost compared to traditional and even Web magazine production.
The Magazine Publishers of America did a study and came to the conclusion that it cost $16.7 million to launch a new magazine, and more than a million dollars to just convert an existing magazine to an online component. We, of course, can produce full magazines at a mere fraction of those costs.

Automatic scaleable content
Because of ZENPRESS, we're automatically able to generate separate versions of the magazines and news for handheld devices. We're also able to syndicate our content in XML versions, and versions of our headlines that are readable as dynamic Javascripts. The benefit of this is that many sites include our headlines on their home pages.
Mass mailing server
Our email mass-mailing server is capable of mailing to over 100,000 unique addresses per hour, and has a capacity of over 74 million messages per month. It completely and reasonably transparently manages the mass mailing process, including opt-ins and failsafe unsubscribes, and has substantially reduced our list management time. We can easily add and manage new lists, keep them as separate entities, and give them their own identities. We use the same Lyris server technology used by ABC News, CBS, NBC, CNET, Disney, IBM, Siebel, and even Microsoft.
Polls, search, & PowerBoards
With our existing polls engine, along with our PowerBoards and search engine, it's extremely easy to add these valuable supporting services to any other online service we produce. We use the same discussion-board technology as the biggest in the industry, including Adobe, Apple, and The New York Times, Time Magazine, People Magazine, USA Today, and Salon.
Online focus group
By combining our mass mailing capabilities with custom polls and key PowerBoard questions, we can create instant focus groups to answer your important questions.
The ZATZ Online Store
We are just introducing the new ZATZ Online Store. This resource has the ability to do nearly everything you could possibly want in an online order management resource, including product categories, featured products, cross-sell recommendations, electronic distribution, gift certificates, wish lists, and even promotional e-coupons.
The ZATZ server farm
We have a dedicated T-1 high-performance feed to the main backbone of the Internet, with the ability to scale easily and automatically.
We operate seven large-scale enterprise servers running Windows 2000 and Linux. We operate Apache Web servers, PHP, Frontier, Manila, Lyris, Exchange, and, of course, ZENPRESS among our software systems.
We operate our own DNS (Domain Name Server) and virtual domain management system. We're able to operate a virtually unlimited number of unique master and subdomains, all routed dynamically to the appropriate servers.
