PalmPower Magazine is now Computing Unplugged
PRINCETON, NJ., August 12 /ZATZ Newswire/ -- ZATZ Publishing, a leading publisher of special-interest online magazines and e-books for technical consumers and IT professionals today introduced Computing Unplugged Magazine, the latest in the publishing company's series of online magazines for some of the most plugged-in and well-connected consumers and professionals anywhere.
Computing Unplugged represents a new name and new direction for the company's extremely popular PalmPower Magazine. Computing Unplugged expands on PalmPower's coverage of handheld Palm OS computing to include all the great things happening in the handheld world, coverage of the amazing innovations that WiFi is making possible, Tablet PC coverage, and coverage of digital cameras, and phones that do just about everything, including make a good phone call.
According to David Gewirtz, ZATZ Editor-in-Chief, "Computing Unplugged is the magazine of untethered technology, the magazine of unwired wonders, the magazine of unplugged possibilities." He continues, "PalmPower Magazine is now Computing Unplugged, unhindered, unrestricted, unfettered, and undeniably unplugged."
Initial coverage in Computing Unplugged includes both Palm and Pocket PC related articles. And we'll continue to cover Palm. But we'll be covering a lot more, including:
- PDAs and GPSs (and other things with fun acronyms);
- Digital cameras and camcorders;
- Music and MP3 players;
- Digital rights issues;
- Handheld and mobile gaming;
- Wireless WiFi, 802.11abcdefg, Bluetooth, and other tech;
- Unplugged in the enterprise;
- Computing in cars;
- Home entertainment, home automation, and even remote controls;
- Computers, of course, but only those that are unplugged;
- Cell phones (and whatever they're becoming);
- Internet technology;
- Cabling, robotics, and much, much more.
If it's got a processor and it's mobile, or it's unplugged where it once was plugged, or it facilitates becoming unplugged, and most especially if its cool, exciting, or turns us on, we're plugging into it.
Computing Unplugged is available online now to readers at http://www.computingunplugged.com. The publication, which launches with more than 300,000 subscribers, is free to all readers. Back issues of both Computing Unplugged and PalmPower are available online at no charge to readers.
