Celebrate the anniversary of powered flight in words and pictures
NORTH BRUNSWICK, N.J., November 24 /ZATZ Newswire/ -- ZATZ Publishing, a leading publisher of special-interest online magazines and e-books for technical consumers and IT professionals today announced an opportunity for all writers and photographers to celebrate the anniversary of powered flight in words and pictures.
December 17, 2003 marks the 100-year anniversary of the Wright Brothers' historic 59-second powered flight. This is an event that truly heralded a change in our society. ZATZ will be honoring that flight (and the accomplishment of the two brothers who stuck to their project through all the ups and downs) by running a series of articles about flight in the December 14th issue of each of the ZATZ magazines.
"We're neither pilots nor an experts in flight," says ZATZ Editor-in-Chief. "We're opening our editorial doors to anyone who wants to help celebrate flight, to submit articles and pictures for publication."
Topics are wide open. Contributors don't have to write about flight and handheld computers or flight and Lotus Notes (subjects that ZATZ normally covers). Articles also don't have to be about the first flight or even the Wright Brothers (although, that too would be great). Instead contributors are encouraged to write about what flight means to them, tell an interesting story, tell readers about something folks might not know, or even just tell a personal story. The only criteria for acceptance is that it's got to be an original, unpublished article submitted exclusively to ZATZ and it's got to be well-written.
Contributors may also submit photographs that are original or unpublished (and for which the contributor owns the rights). ZATZ plans to also run a photo retrospective of flight, if the magazines get enough submissions.
